his is a 9 week summer program in solid state chemistry research for undergraduates and college faculty, under the direction of a recognized authority in the field.

  • Participants receive a stipend plus a housing supplement and travel expenses, paid by the NSF program.
  • The program starts with tutorial sessions at the University of Oregon (6/12–6/18). 
  • Participants next travel to a university laboratory chosen by the student from a select list of host labs for a eight-week research program.
  • The program reconvenes in Oregon for a final symposium (8/12–8/13) before the trip home.
